Shipping Policy

Thank you for choosing Scandia Food & Gifts to handle your order. Our shipping policy is to ship your order within 24 hours (with the exception during November and December due to the high volume). All orders placed before 1pm EST (Eastern Standard Time) will be shipped out the same day. Due to our high volume during the holiday seasons, we ask you to place your orders early to ensure that you get your items delivered in time for your festivities.

All orders are shipped from our warehouse in Norwalk,CT - shipping arrangements are made via UPS only and this cost will be carried by the customer and itemized during check out. In addition to the shipping cost, there will be a $5.99 handling fee added to all orders under $75, all orders with a value of $75 or more will have handling fee of $3.99.

Some of your considerations should be how urgently the shipment is needed, traveling distance and climatic conditions, if the product is perishable, and value of merchandise. For all international orders please call us to inquire about our shipping methods and policy.

There are several shipping alternatives such as Next Day Air, Second Day Air, Three Day Select and Ground Service. Actual charges depend upon shipping mode, distance and dimensional weight of the package. All perishable items need to be shipped with a minimum of 2-Day service. We do recommend that all frozen items are shipped with Next Day Air service to ensure that the items are OK upon arrival to you.

UPS Ground shipments to CT, NJ, RI, MA, VT, ME, DE and parts of NY and PA are normally delivered the next day, however, there is no guarantee as we are not UPS.

Make sure to make proper arrangements for all of your shipments if you are shipping to a residential address. This is especially important to all perishable and frozen items shipped; they normally can not sit outside for long before going bad. If you have any questions in regards to perishable or frozen items, please contact us and we will be more than happy to assist you.

Please be aware that Scandia Food & Gifts, Inc. is not responsible or liable for delayed and not delivered shipments and that UPS will only refund the shipping charges in case of a delay. In such case, call Scandia at 203-838-2087 for your tracking number, then call UPS at 1-800-742-5877 to obtain delivery information. You can track the order online at http://www.ups.com We do offer Same Day courier service to Manhattan, NY with Gardella Courier for a set cost of $40.00, provided orders are placed before 10.00 A.M. (this is with the exception of the Holiday seasons)

6% CT sales tax is added to applicable items for shipments within CT.
