About Scandia Food Inc.
Scandia Food & Gifts, Inc. was founded in 1983. The company
first had an initial focus on only importing Norwegian Salmon in partnership
with Torris Products from Bodo, Norway.
The company first started as a wholesaler and eventually expanded into a large
retail store after many customer requests wanting more than just salmon. We
had a small store located in South Norwalk, CT to begin with, but in 1997 we
had to move a much larger retail store on 30 High St in Norwalk, CT.
In 1993 we acquired a 2nd retail store in Farmington, CT that was operated by
Tre Kronor (Three Crowns) prior to our acquisition.
However, in 2004 we closed the store due to the increase and high volume of
our Mail Order within the state, but as well change in ownership of Scandia Food & Gifts.
We now only have one location in Norwalk, CT, where we operate out of a 3,500sqf facility.
We have our front store as well as our mail order business in the same building.
Our company now features more than 3,500 products, everything from food to gifts, so if

It was in 1996 that we open our first e-commerce website which has now become the leading
online store for Scandinavian items; we ship all packages daily all over the USA.
We have always focused on high quality Scandinavian products that only meet the highest
standards. Scandia Food & Gifts Inc. today offers the largest selection of Scandinavian
retail items in the US.
